Tourist values

The attractiveness of Grabów commune is due mainly to its surroundings, which lie in the protected landscape area “The Prosna Valley”. The rich flora and fauna of the commune’s flooded river areas may leave lasting impressions on visitors. It is an interesting leisure area of scenic, natural and tourist value. The “Ostrzeszów Hills” protected landscape area in the south-western part of the commune is a perfect spot for hiking. Grabów commune is still free of heavy industry and urban buildings; forests, meadows and fields form a spectacular mosaic abundant in interesting wildlife with numerous, beautifully blooming rare plant species and animals. There are many artefacts and monuments preserved in the area; the picturesque ruins bear witness to the area’s rich past. Little traffic, peace, quiet and closeness of nature are opportunities rarely met elsewhere.
